Nigerians Take Heart!
We must press forward in our quest for a Nigeria where truth and justice is our
bedrock. For what we stand to gain if we don’t give up is greater than the temporary
setbacks we encounter in 2023 election.
“If we can
be bold enough to restore the value of truth in Africa, then we will have
justice. Without truth you cannot get justice” Ghana President Jerry
Rawlings
Even in America today our fellow African Americans, organizations like:
· Organizations of the
civil rights movement.
· National Association
For The Advancement Of Colored People (NAACP)
· Congress Of Racial
Equality (CORE)
· Southern Christian
Leadership Conference (SCLC)
· Student Nonviolent
Coordinating Committee (SNCC)
Continue to fight, lobby, protest and protect minority/equal rights, justice against voter suppressions of the minority in a nation many
think it has it all-right.
I feel safer as a black man in Nigeria/Africa than when I’m
in America. In a routine traffic stop you could be killed as a Blackman by a trigger-happy
white boy police in US. I say this to mean, we must match on with courage and continue
to push for justice, equal rights of every citizen, a free and fair election,
where the collective will of the people is respected within the contest of the
law.
11th March, 2023 is governorship election in
Nigeria, come out and vote. Don’t say because they cheat you the last time you
won’t vote. If you do that, you’re giving your power away to the enemy to
continue to use against you. Remember, evil, bad governance continue because
good people keep quiet. We must get involved and be the path of those pushing
for change, reforms and refuse evil system through ballot paper and legal
means. It’s a continues struggle of which we shall overcome if we don’t give
up. The enemy don’t sleep more reason we must keep on the good work.
Someone said “what if they rig the election?” Yes, they may, but your vote count
that’s why they will try to rig the election. Your vote serves as evidence
against illegalities. If you don’t vote, will there be evidence to contend in court?
You defeat evil by sowing seeds of righteousness that will, in overtime, outgrown
wickedness. God fights and protects the oppressed even though they seem weak.
“He who passively accepts evil is as much involved
in it as he who helps to perpetuate it. He who accepts evil without protesting
against it is really cooperating with it.
When oppressed people willingly accept their oppressor, they only serve to give
the oppressor a convenient justification for his acts. Often the oppressor goes
along unaware of the evil involved in his oppression so long as the oppressed
accept it. So, in order to be true to one’s conscience and true to God, a
righteous man has no alternative but refuse to cooperate with an evil system:”
Martin Luther King Jr
Africa/Nigeria will get it right in this 21st
century. We must not cooperate with our oppressors until they are all defeated.
We will defeat them because the voice of the people is the voice of God and the
voice of the Almighty is greater than the voices of the multitude of evil one.
So, my dear brothers and sisters, let not your hearts be
trouble!
We shall overcome someday!
