HOW TO OVERCOME SUPERSTITION AND WIN OVER FEAR

British Dictionary definitions for superstition

irrational belief usually founded on ignorance or fear and characterized by

obsessive reverence for omens, charms, etc

a notion, act or ritual that derives from such belief

any irrational belief,especially with regard to the unknown

Fear is the root source of superstitions. Of course, that means fear. Fear is a nuisance, it wreak havoc on the path of destiny. “What the mind doesn't understand, it worships or fears.” ― Alice Walker. Religion and traditional beliefs plays vital role in superstitious beliefs.

Mind you, Christianity is not a religion but a relationship with God. Christianity is not rules and regulation but an expression of our love to God demonstrated through obedience to God’s word. “If you love me, keep my commands. Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”

Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, “But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?”

Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me. John 14:15-23. We can’t be loving and still be hating, unforgiven and selfish. Those not the attributes of genuine love. 1 Corinthians 13:1-8.

Let nobody fool you with gimmicks, it is our obedience that releases God’s blessings. “So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.” Matthew 5: 23-24 “Obedience is better than sacrifice…..” 1 Samuel 15:22
It is as simple as ABC. That’s Christianity. God made life plain and simple men have made it complex and complicated.

Religion and Traditional beliefs are:

1) The doctrine

2) Rules and

3) Theological jargons of men.

It is the rules and the tradition of men that impede the work of Christ. The first commandment in the bible says “Obey the Lord thy God, thou shall have no other God but me.” Exodus 20:1.

Often time than not one’s greatest fear are nurtured by superstitions. These superstitious beliefs drive our state of mind. The mind has the power to lead you well to your destiny and it is also capable of leading you astral from the path of grace. That is why scriptures says look well to your mind because that’s where the issues of life spring forth. Proverbs 4: 23.

Our aspiration for the spiritual should not be at the neglect of reality. In trying to understand spirituality or sound to be spiritual some folks act as if they do not live in reality, they live in self – denial, whereas prices of bread and butter affect them just as everybody else. Beware of religious superstitious witchcraft insanity, laziness and foolishness, which see every personal mistake as influenced by the devil. Truth is, God has already given us the master keys to open the doors to our destiny, without wisdom and understanding, unfortunately God’s children consistently bend, break these master keys turns and complain, blame the devil for the repetition of their own personal mistakes they refused to correct. Surely. “God’s people perish for lack of knowledge” Hosea 1: 8. God punish the devil for taking the glory for doing nothing! If your hands are clean what made you think someone can make it dirty. If your mind is clean can someone make it dirty?

Remember:

If you doubt yourself, the world won’t believe in you.

If you do not accept yourself, the world won’t accept you.

If you hate yourself, the world cannot love you. It is what you breathe out that comes right back at you. “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he” Proverb 23:7.

What are you thinking about yourself right now?

Are you doubtful, afraid you can’t make it, are you afraid you will die before your time, afraid you will never marry, afraid you will never get a job, did you feel nobody loves you – no one cares, are you afraid your marriage will fail or get sick of cancer just as your mother die of the disease. What made us feel the way we feel or why are we so afraid of the unknown – the non-existential? Oh where is thy faith. “Fear not! For God has not given you the spirit of fear but of power love and a sound.” Change your negative mind right now, put God’s word in your heart and let be the vehicle that drives your life every day. Shout if you can and refused fear. If God be for us who can be against us. Romans 8:31. But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. Daniel 11:32

You are from God nothing can take you down except you allow it. Your mother/father sickness is not your disease. Exercise your faith always and refused that doctor’s report, you shall not die before your time. When thoughts of deaths comes to your mind say “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.” Psalm 118:17

We should pray to God for wisdom and understanding so that we may know how to use the master keys God has place in our hand to open the door to our destiny. If you do not use wisdom and understanding to open the doors that God has opened for you, you will use your own hand to lock the door to your destiny that God has already opened for you. "For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength." Philippians 4:13

Beware Of Seeing Devil In Every Ironies Of Life.

Except you want to be chasing devil for the rest of your life. God forbid. “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” Matthew 28:18. For in his name there is healing, deliverance, for he is the kings of kings. God’s power is alive to deliver and set captives free. Receive your healing in Jesus name.

If God is so powerful why is there so much problems in this world?’ I’ve heard folks ask that illogical question all the time.

You only need to be dead to be free from:

· Failures and costly mistakes.

· Problems and challenges. “God, take away my problems.” Seriously, that’s not prayer. Dead people have no problems but the living create problems because they need to live. Problems is path of living, if you want to be free from problems death is your only option dear. Please do not kill yourself.

God has already open the doors of breakthrough for us if we do not use understanding to put the ideas and great initiative God placed in our hearts we’ll become victim of our own wrong doing. In trying to use the keys God place in our hands to open the doors to our destiny, because of wrong approach/method you will continue to get the same result. “The problem with many of us, “we fall down relax and ask for a pillow.” Al Sharpton

· Beware of romanticizing personal ironies living as if you do not alive in this world. You need bread and butter to keep body and soul together yet you want God to take away your problems. It’s only the dead that have no problems. The dead don’t breathe you know;

· The living cannot pray to God to take away their problems yet bills, envelopes with widows in the middle are in your mail box week in and month end, school fees to pay, food for your belly, cat and dogs to fed, traffic offence tickets to pay, your vehicle need gas, pampers for the kids, y’all ladies need Pan cakes – makeup to shine thy lovely face, and you are praying God, take away my problems. Are you kidding me? Hey, ladies and gentlemen let get back to reality. You see why you ask and miss. Better be praying to God to grant you great initiative, wisdom and understanding and develop the discipline to invest your money wisely and increase in wealth, and you better be money wise and start saving. If you can’t value 5 cent you will never be wealthy.

· You need to solve your problems by beginning with the small one first gradually as resources become available you can solve the bigger ones.

As long as you are alive your problems will keep increasing and getting bigger and bigger and it never end. The earlier we all learn is only death that separates us from problems the better our living become. The real issue is not the enormous problems and challenges we face but on how we respond to these problems we face daily. Every problem is opportunity in disguise. “The more difficulties one has to encounter, within and without, the more significant and the higher in inspiration his life will be.” Horace Bushnell. Problems are not a mirror for seeing but an opportunity for permanent change in our life’s.

Why Seek Spirituality And Live Out Of Reality.

Our desire for spirituality should be to help us get organize so our reality can change. You can chase devil from pillar to post yet if you are not organized your circumstance will never change. Until we get organized our reality will never change.

Beware of Mental illusion it leads to mental delusion.
Mental illusion is a state of mind were illogical mental picture is accepted as real. To free one’s mind from such disabused state you need to flush all negative dirt’s out of your mind one by one and restore your mind to a natural default state. That means recondition your mind to reality and stop believing somebody is after you to ruin you. If God be your God and you allow God’s word to guide you every day daily and not allow the doctrine of men, its rules and traditions imprisoned your souls and mind, your life will constant radiate peaceful living. “Fear is the main source of superstition, and one of the main sources of cruelty. To conquer fear is the beginning of wisdom.” Bertrand Russell

God’s hand is upon you to bring you to glory. In hope, we thrive because God’s mercy is upon us all. The future shall be better tomorrow. God is not partial. "For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength." Philippians 4:13

Some of us are trying to walk away from our shadow that is why we never find the true meaning of living. We are trying to please the world, friend’s people who don’t ever care about our soul. That is why most of us are constantly stress out. Trying to chase shadows, you cannot find its hold.

When you try to run some ones else race instead of yours you become carbon copy of fake passive unrealistic attitudes and behavior that mocks the true meaning of your being. You think you are too cute to be corrected too smart to learn that’s why you never learn the essentiality of the true meaning of living. How quickly mortals forget, live is a continue school of learning of no graduation, the day you stop learning that day you’ll starts to die and wears away.

If you don’t stop casting blames you will never stop receiving more blames in your life. What you say out of your mouth is what comes right back to hurt or set you free. Reason there is consistent repetition of same situation in some folks life is because they refused to change. You can’t continue to repeat same mistakes and expect success. As long as you haven’t accept what you are doing is wrong you will continue to get same negative results year in year out.

Reason there are so many repetition of same results is because many people live and practice method, ideas that are foreign to them. Speak language they not know the meaning. They eat food their belly won’t digest and they wear shoes that don’t fit them. Copy life style that God has not created them to live. Dances dance their legs are not never created to dance. They says things their ear won’t be proud to hear. They go to places they won’t proudly say in the open. Keep parasite as friends whose only concern is to suck out the host. I can go on and on the list is endless. Be yourself and beautiful and live for God today and see the different.

They want real change but they are not willing to change them self. They cast blame but they are not willing to honestly take a look at themselves and make improvement where they need change the most within themselves. They will rather cast blame to romanticize their bruised ego and get mad at the progressive. It’s cheap to cast blame why accepting one’s mistakes and failures is courage.

· Blames caster wants you to tell them what they want to hear.

· They’ve already locked their mind to greater possibilities,

· They mix Christianity with traditional beliefs and excuses, they are caught up with superstitions, and these beliefs drive their reasoning and hinder their progress.

Every successful men and women constantly accept their mistakes learn from it and move forward. That’s why they always succeed. Truth is, until you correct your past mistakes and accept your failures you cannot progress from your present state of challenge.

You have never been happy in your marriage because you know quite well you marry that man because of the size of his wallet and your selfishness is ruining your relationship yet you wonder why your marriage/relationship is in shamble, mess and boring. Well, the easiest way out of one’s inadequacy is casting blames and refusing to change what is wrong. Praise be to God. Living do not have to be boring and stressful but exciting joyful and happiness. If you have laboured with no sight of rest from your toil why don’t you call on the lord today, sincerely repent and he will grant you rest from your weary soul.

Never ever believe in negative dream, it’s the lies of the devil. “It is when men sleep the devil comes to sow lies.” Matthew 13:25

Come to me, all you who are weary and burden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:28-29
